EAGLi (“eagle-eye”) acts as a partner for regulated financial entities, FinTech start-ups and investors, primarily in 3 roles:

i) Hands-on advisory services (commercial contracts, financial regulation, partnership or investment agreements)

ii) Investor and/or Board member

iii) Connector between FinTech companies and investors/potential clients

From offices in Belgium and Switzerland, EAGLi focuses on the impact of EEA law on national or cross-border projects in financial services, covering wealth management, asset management, private equity, REITs, trading and clearing & settlement. EAGLi delivers solutions through its advisory services or by connecting with (FinTech/RegTech/LegTech) technology providers in its network.

Examples of typical projects include: setting up (alternative or UCITS) fund vehicles in Luxembourg, analyzing legal and compliance impact of MiFIDII and MiFIR on Swiss wealth management firms, automating KYC onboarding, advice re smart (blockchain) contracts, drafting investment management contracts, negotiating partnership or acquisition contracts, fund due diligence, review of IT and market data contracts, ….

For larger projects or projects requiring additional domain or national law expertise, EAGLi typically works in a consortium with other advisors in its network.
